Every year on March 8, we celebrate International Women's Day, a reminder of the important contributions women make to society, science, business, and industry. Although this day is already behind us, it is still worth reflecting on the role of women in sectors that have traditionally been more male-dominated, including the mechanical engineering industry.
Women at Gostol TST through time
Women have been part of the story of Gostol TST since the very beginning of the company's development. Over the decades, their roles have evolved and expanded, from administrative and support functions to increasingly professional and responsible positions across various departments of the company.
Today, 10 women work at Gostol TST. With their knowledge, precision, and organizational skill, they make an important contribution to the successful operation of the company. They work in a variety of positions, from administration, finance, marketing and sales, and human resources to procurement.
Diversity of perspectives as added value
Although women in the mechanical engineering industry are still often in the minority, their voice is important. They may sometimes view things a little differently than their male colleagues, but it is precisely this diversity of perspectives that creates added value. Different approaches, ideas, and ways of thinking help generate better solutions, while also bringing a different kind of energy into the workplace, enriching both the company and its culture.
The mechanical engineering industry is constantly evolving. Digitalization, automation, and the development of new technologies are opening up more and more opportunities for diverse knowledge profiles, where different perspectives and collaboration are key to innovation. For this reason, the inclusion of women in technical and industrial professions is important for the development of companies and the industry as a whole.
Following the recent International Women's Day, we would once again like to thank all the female colleagues at Gostol TST for their contribution, dedication, and professionalism. Their work is an important part of the company's story, which has been developing technologies for industrial surface preparation for more than 75 years.
