Gostol TST has successfully delivered and commissioned a P-2800x2000 roller conveyor shot blasting machine for one of the leading trailer manufacturers for trucks in the UK and Ireland.
This high-performance solution is designed for complete surface treatment of large trailer chassis, processing workpieces up to 2800 mm wide, 2000 mm high, and 16,500 mm long.
The machine is equipped with 16 powerful ir blasting wheels, each with a power of 18.5 kW, ensuring uniform cleaning quality and optimal blasting efficiency across the entire surface.
Efficient workpiece handling with transverse transport system
To achieve full automation and improve safety of the work process, the project also includes a transverse transport system for easy and stable manipulation of heavy chassis.
This system:
- enables fast and reliable loading and unloading of workpieces,
- reduces the need for additional forklifts and cranes,
- increases operator safety and ergonomics,
- and minimizes idle time between blasting cycles - resulting in higher line throughput and better machine utilization.
The combination of a roller conveyor shot blasting machine and a transverse transport system provides an ideal solution for serial production of large and heavy steel structures such as truck trailer chassis.
In the case of shotblasting sheet metal, the machine can also be equipped with a sheet metal transport manipulator, which enables easy, safe and efficient sheet metal manipulation and significantly reduces the physical strain on employees, enables greater safety at work and increases productivity.
The client was looking for a solution that would combine high productivity, simple handling and reliability. Gostol TST provided exactly that - a system that enables complete chassis shot blasting in a single pass, with no manual interventions.
