Concrete containers (nuclear industry) shot blasting machine Type PBS

Different types of shot blasting machines can be used for cleaning materials used in everyday processes in nuclear power plant. With shot blasting machine you remove the outer surface of the waste, and therefore the contamination, so that they are ready for free release.

Shot blasting machine type PBS is used for cleaning concrete containers, which are used in nuclear industry. Machine transport system has two exchangeable lorries. First lorry is equipped with adjustable rollers for treatment of different containers and protection coats. Second lorry has turntable, which is used for shotblasting small workpieces.

During the shotblasting the container is placed under an angle which allows to clean the inside and outside of the container, causes that the abrasive and contaminations are removed automatically out of the container.

Totally there is 5 blasting wheels on the blasting chamber, two of them in the sidewall for cleaning of the inside of the container and 3 blasting wheels in the ceiling for cleaning the upper part, the sides and the lower part of the container.

Before the blow-off chamber there is a separate room, where you can clean the containers manually. This room has a separate door for the operator.

A blow-off system in the blow-off chamber is used for removing the remaining dust, which is sucked through the dedusting system. There is also heat exchanger so that humid containers can be dried by preheated air.

Between all the compartments are trapdoors, which are mutual harmonized depending on the working cycle. The door of the blasting chamber is protected by manganese plates.
