At the end of last week, we proudly hosted an Open Day for the family members of our employees. This special event offered a chance to open our doors to loved ones, giving them a closer look at where and how our producst are made, and to give a glimpse into our everyday work.
The event began with a warm welcome from our General Manager, who introduced the company and its mission. He highlighted an interesting fact: many of the products we use daily - from deodorant cans to ATMs - must undergo shotblasting before reaching the market, demonstrating just how far-reaching our work is.
Visitors were then introduced to our design department, where the journey of every shot blasting machine begins. Using advanced software tools, our design engineers create detailed models and drawings, which are then passed on the Technology department. Here, the drawings are converted into technological documentation - the "language" understood by our production teams.
Preparation workshop - where it all begins
In the Preparation workshop, the journey from raw material to machine truly begins. A key player here is our plasma cutting machine, capable of both plasma and flame cutting. Between 500 and 600 tons of material are processed annually, with additional straightening, wrapping, and folding when needed.
Welding - precision and power
The Welding workshop features individual protected welding stations equipped with safety curtains. Our certified welders meet the highest quality standards, including the Lloyd's certification obatined for a maritime industry client. Moving large weldments - some weighing several tons - is made possible by three robust cranes operating in the workshop.
Assembly workshop - Bringing the machines to life
In the assembly workshop, machines are mechanically put together, wired by skilled electricians, and programmed by software engineers to ensure flawless operation. Our assembly pit enables the building of even the largest machines. After assembly, each machine undergous an internal inspection followed by the final customer acceptance.
We proudly highlighted two machines currently in production:
- A VPP-1200x1600+KDP pass-through monorail shot blasting machine, soon heading to Germany.
- An HR-1B shot blasting machine with rotating barrel, destined for Switzerland.
Visitors also had the chance to see our latest innovation - a universal robotic shot blasting machine. Featuring a robotic arm that autonomously transfers workpieces to and from the blasting chamber, this smart solution boosts efficiency, precision, and reduces the need for manual handling.
Throughout the tour, visitors were fascinated by the complexity and precision involved in developing and manufacturing each shot blasting machine. The Open Day was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the bond between employees and their families, and to proudly showcase the incredible work our teams do every day.
